Real Madrid have their sight firmly fixed on luring Chelsea’s prized jewel, Eden Hazard away from Stamford Bridge. According to reports monitored online, Zinedine Zidane is very keen on having the mercurial dribbler in his Los Blancos team for the 2017/2018 season.
To sweeten the deal and make it less grievous for Roman Abrahamovich, Real Madrid is willing to offer Brazil 2014 standout player, James Rodriguez in part exchange for the pivotal Belgian. Whether Antonio Conte will be swayed to okay the deal is the crust of discussions among pundits.
Looking at the potential deal from Hazard’s angle looks more likely to materialize. Real Madrid is without doubt the biggest and most successful club in the world. Who wouldn’t want to play there? A major problem is that when players decides to move, they actually move. Hazard may have decided to go to Spain even long before the current speculations. The lure of the Bernabeu, history and the multitudes of stars may be two strong for the fleet footed Belgian to ignore.
If the transfer goes through as being speculated, Chelsea will not be left without options. They have demonstrated the capacity to go for the best. There may be another Hazard just round the corner. Who knows?
