Administrative cadre remains custodian of service – Ogun Dep Gov

Deputy governor of Ogun State, Chief (Mrs)Yetunde Onanuga, has attributed the success recorded by the present administration in the state to the vibrancy and dynamic method of the administrative class group of the civil service.
Onanuga, who stated this at the maiden edition of the Administrative Officers Day, held at the Obas Complex,Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said the class had lived up to expectation as the custodian of culture of the civil service.
The deputy governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Rev Gbele Olugbebi,described the class as unique.
“I’m indeed glad to be in your midst I want to let you know that, as administrative officers, you are the custodian of culture of the civil service and you are unique. Since Ogun Civil Service is the first in the country, this speaks volume of the kind of people that made to be so,” she said.
In his remarks, the Head of Service, Mr Abayomi Sobande, charged the class to be more diligent, smart and always strive for excellence,challenging them to return to the good old days, where administrative class was the hallmark of the service.
In his contribution, the chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Dolapo Adewunmi, advised the administrative officers to have a knack for professionalism and be thoroughbred judging by the effect of the top management issues they tackle from time to time.
