APC Wins “Compromised” Osun Gov Rerun

oyetola
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Osun governorship election, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola is set to be declared the winner of the rerun election conducted in some units in four local governments of Osun State on Thursday, dubbed by opponents and observers as “brazenly rigged”.
There were reports of intimidation of potential PDP voters by the police. Police operatives were seen in a video obtained by CHECKPOINTCHARLEY, shooting sporadically as they marched through the streets of Ile-Ife. They are accused of doing that to scare away PDP voters from coming out to vote.
A resident of Ile-Ife also told CHECKPOINTCHARLEY that police operatives blocked the Mayfair roundabout in Ife, so as to prevent voters, believed to be Adeleke’s supporters, from gaining access to two rerun polling booths – the round about is the only road that leads to the polling units in Oyere and Olode areas.
However results announced by by the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), show that Mr. Oyetola is heading for a landslide victory as the governor-elect of the state.
The PDP candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke had earlier rejected the results even before it was announced.
The results of the elections as announced by INEC officials are as follows:
Unit 15 Ward 5 Oshogbo local government at supplementary governorship election is as follows
