NACC to lead Nigerian trade mission to Silicon Valley

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) is set to lead a team of about 20 businesses on a trade mission to Silicon Valley, USA, to explore opportunities and forge partnerships with US companies.
Ebuka Ugochukwu, the NACC Spokesperson, said that the trade mission was aimed at promoting the development of trade, commerce, investment and industrial technological relationships between Nigeria and the United States.
Ugochukwu said that the mission would give participants opportunities to learn more about the available technology opportunities for emerging markets and improve Nigeria’s financial infrastructure.
According to him, the five days Trade Mission themed, ‘Turning Promises to Action,’ will hold from April 28 to May 3, and will further drive socio-economic growth and development for both countries.
He said that the delegates would be hosted by the Silicon Valley Nigeria Economic Development Inc, Silicon Valley Top Executives, Angel Investors and Venture Capitalist in Information Technology.
Ugochukwu said that the team would also hold meetings with Silicon Valley Chambers of Commerce, Silicon Valley Tech companies and the Mayor of San Jose.
“This is a time when delegates leverage on the Chamber’s initiative to meet new international buyers and distributors, expand into new markets, exchange market knowledge and gain insight from industry experts.
“It will also assist them to promote their business across the border and further generate new businesses for their companies,” the NACC spokesperson said in a statement.
He said that the mission would attract businesses in Information and Technology, Banking, Agric Tech, Cloud technology solutions, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain and Smart Contracts.
“The NACC had been organising trade missions to the United States; last year, the Chamber led delegates to Washington DC, where we had success stories in new deals and investments,” he said.
He said that the trade mission would fulfil the Chamber’s objective of linking businesses in Nigeria to global enterprises and creating a movement of many more success stories for both countries.
