Amosun promises Ogun civil servants improved welfare



Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, yesterday paid an unscheduled visit to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), within the state secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, promising civil servants of improved welfare.
During the visit, on the first work day in the New Year, he commended the civil servants for their dedication to duty, urging them not to relent in the discharge of their duties.
The governor, who acknowledged the significant contributions of the civil servants to the development of the state, assured them of improved welfare.
According to him, the civil servants, are ready to support any government that is ready to work,” adding that “If we want to get it right, the Civil Service must be well strengthened.”
Amosun added that very soon, the operations and filing system of the MDAs will be digitalised, to complement the hard copy filing system, promising to work on the regular release of bulk payment for the effective running of the offices.
Speaking with news men, the Head of Service, Mr. Abayomi Sobande assured the government of the support of the entire civil servants, towards the success of its mission to rebuild the state.
